Selected Experience

Led an effort to define and stand up the Category Management capability for a new $40M spend category focused on Securities Trading Platforms and Financial Analytics software at a major international Asset Management firm. Key activities included developing a category-specific spending cube, providing spending/usage insights, developing Supplier Market assessments, creating a knowledge base and training client personnel.

Served as Project Manager for a global, cross-divisional Capital Expense management effort in the Production Equipment space at a major global pharmaceutical company. Developed a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Best Practices and Governance plan. Guided the team in defining the relevant equipment subcategories, spending magnitudes, and priorities. Positioned the client to capture $30-50M in cost savings over three sourcing waves.

Scoped and executed an opportunity assessment study for the reduction and management of legal services expenses. Performed analyses to establish key baseline parameters such as case types, key demand geographies and billing rates paid by level. Defined the potential savings estimates related to key savings levers.

Led a project to design and build a world class procurement organization for the North American operations of a global industrial gases production and distribution company. Deliverables completed included mapping tasks to organizational goals, creating a procurement Organization Blueprint, performing gap analyses, devising KPIs and identifying supporting systems and processes. This new organizational structure was critical to the company’s objective of saving $14 M over three years.
